Audition Format -

There is a $10 non refundable audition registration fee to be paid prior to the start of auditions.

Audition format: short ballet barre followed by a short modern center - concluded by learning a choreographed combination.

Please wear solid colored and form fitting attire.

(Ballet shoes are not required.)

Don’t have a lot of formal dance experience? THAT IS OK! Just show up ready to learn something new. One of the hardest parts of any audition process is walking in the door. JUST GO FOR IT!

Choreography Mentorship Program -

Those interested in applying for the Choreography Mentorship Program are expected to perform a short, self-choreographed solo and participate in a short interview.

Education Mentorship Program -

Those interested in being considered for the Education Mentorship Program are expected to participate in a short interview.

Membership details and expectations -

Dues - POCDE membership dues are $450 - to be paid over the course of the season. A payment plan will be presented at the first rehearsal.

Rehearsals - POCDE will rehearse Sundays 12pm to 6pm in the Cincinnati area mid October 2019 through March 2020. All POCDE rehearsals may not be mandatory to all members. Scheduling may vary dependent on casting and rehearsal needs. HOWEVER, it is expected that all POCDE members be available for any rehearsals required Sundays between 12pm and 6pm.

Preview Performances - POCDE members are expected to participate in educational outreach opportunities throughout the season. POCDE will make a concerted effort to schedule clinics or preview performances on Sundays between the hours of 12pm and 6pm.

Final Performance - POCDE member are expected to participate in the Pride of Cincinnati Dance Ensemble final performance event. Held in March 2020, this performance is the culmination of the season. Members should anticipate a tech/dress rehearsal day and two daytime rehearsals followed by evening performances (3 days total - tentatively Friday, Saturday and Sunday - March 20th, 21st and 22nd).
